Helping churches, schools and theological colleges support neurodivergent people
Speaking with SU Scotland — Following Jesus When Neurodivergent
Hear Me Speak
A sample talk
In this talk for SU Scotland, I share what it’s like to follow Jesus as a neurodivergent person.
This is typical of the kind of talk I give to faith audiences, combining my personal experience with theological reflection. I don’t claim to speak for every autistic person, but I do offer a perspective that is rarely heard in church spaces.
Churches & Faith Groups
Faith Organisations
Drawing on my own experience as an autistic Christian and my book With All Your Mind, I help congregations explore how they can be more welcoming to those who think differently.
Schools
Primary & Secondary Schools
I visit primary and secondary schools across Northern Ireland for autism awareness talks and creative writing workshops, for pupils from P5 upwards.
Colleges & Universities
Theological Colleges
I enjoy speaking at theological colleges, where I can explore the practical theology behind autism inclusion in-depth.
